Involving the community in the adventure of outdoor science education

Monday April 19th From 2 - 6 pm : Call 541.549.1459 for more info

What is it?
A great team building activity for five lucky businesses in the Sisters Community! The Wolftree challenge is a science and nature race meant to help educate the community about Wolftree as well as an opportunity for team building and community-wide recognition for the businesses selected to participate!

How will it work?

Each of the five teams will be made up of 4 people. They will meet at the Sisters Chamber of Commerce where they will be given a “provision pack” which will include a Wolftree water bottle for each member, a field journal for recording progress, a map and various other items to support them during the challenge.  Each team member will also receive a hat and a t-shirt.

Stations will be set up in the Whychus/Metolius watersheds. Each team will visit the stations to finish a “nature challenge”. At each station they will have to perform various science experiments with points awarded by the site supervisors...the kids from the Wolftree program! There are no points for finishing first. The teams will have four hours to complete the race.

The last stop of the Wolftree Challenge will be at our main sponsor Jen’s Garden, where participants will be treated to a 3 course Wine Dinner. At the dinner, each team will have to give a report on their race as well as defend their findings. (Is your team deserving of extra credit?) Awards will be decided by a team of judges and will be handed out at the end of the evening.

Recognition for Your Business

All Wolftree Challenge participants will receive (in addition to a fabulous dinner, their provision pack, t-shirts, and hats) a certificate of completion, mention in all pre and post publicity including advertising/news-stories before the race as well as a Thank You Ad in the Nugget after the race.

Cost: $500 per team
